Ratings, reviews, ranking, and related podcasts are maintained by Apple, and you can't change them.I'm quite certain this is the most common i Tunes issue podcasters complain about.Podcast syncing is enabled in i Tunes, and the "Sync Subscriptions" setting is turned on in the settings for the Podcasts app on my i Phone. Why, then, does podcast syncing simply I feel like I must be doing something wrong or am missing a setting somewhere, because if not, I can't believe that podcast syncing is this unreliable. You can change the settings for each podcast separately by choosing the podcast in the Settings For pop-up menu. The settings are as follows: If you sync podcasts automatically to your i Pod, don’t set the Episodes to Keep pop-up to All Unplayed Episodes — use All Episodes instead. All subscribed podcast feeds are updated immediately when you refresh, and i Tunes downloads the most recent (or all) episodes, depending on how you set your podcasts preferences to schedule podcast updates.

I'm signed into the same i Cloud account on both my Mac and i Phone.

In general, I try to avoid Apple products when I can, but I do use and enjoy and i Pod Nano for podcasts.

With the recent update to 11.4 I noticed that my podcasts were not refreshing, either on a schedule or on-demand.

I tried restarting i Tunes, unplugging the i Pod, restarting the computer – nothing. Look at this setting: (Windows version: Edit | Preferences | Store) Uncheck the highlighted setting.

I’m not sure how this feature is supposed to work, but once disabled, podcasts started refreshing correctly again.

  1. Mac Users: Try our Flash version of text chat or enable Java: If you see an 'Inactive Plug-in' this may be because Java is no longer enabled by default on some Macs and you must click on the "Inactive Plug-in" link on the center of the page above to "Enable" the Java plugin and use the chat rooms.
